Tim Monger, Chairman
Qualifications: BComm, AICA, Senior Fellow - FINSIA

Tim joined KPMG in Sydney in 1977 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983. After a secondment to KPMG’s New York office to focus on international accounting issues, Tim returned to Sydney where he managed a number of KPMG’s large client accounts and various due diligence assignments for M&A and IPO transactions.

In 1987 he left KPMG and moved into stockbroking, initially in research and later corporate finance. Tim then joined National Australia Bank in its Investment Bank division working on M&A, Valuations and Corporate Restructuring assignments.

In 1993 Tim returned to KPMG as a Director in the corporate finance division focusing on M&A transactions including KPMG owned businesses and on several restructuring projects.

Tim left KPMG in 2001 to consult to The International Wine Fund, before becoming a Director at stockbroker Burdett Buckeridge Young where he led their IPO, capital raising and M&A transactions.

Tim left BBY in January 2005 to establish Odyssey Capital. Tim is on the FINSIA Financial Reporting taskforce and is also a lecturer for Kaplan Professional in Corporate Finance Management and is a contributor to Kaplan Professional Corporate Financial Management – Private Equity.
Dinesh Pillutla, Managing Director
Qualifications: BSc, Post Graduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing, MBA

Dinesh has over 19 years’ experience in a wide range of roles across the property and IT sectors. Early in his career, Dinesh was employed by IBM, Wipro Infotech and Ersis Australia in regional and global marketing roles.

Over the last ten years, he has built up a considerable track record in the listed and unlisted property sectors in a number of roles at AMP Capital, Aegis, Southern Cross Equities, and PIR. At AMP, Dinesh was a Senior Analyst in the Property Investment Strategy team providing research and advisory services to $15B of Assets Under Management across listed and unlisted property funds. In addition, dinesh was involved in several other bespoke research projects across other divisions of AMP Capital.

Prior to joining PIR, Dinesh was employed at Southern Cross Equities as a Senior Analyst to launch listed property research coverage across select large caps and mid cap A-REITs. Dinesh was also involved in providing IPO support to the corporate advisory team.
Gary Dainton, Non-Executive Director
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Economics, Fellow - Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Graduate Member of Australian Institute of Company Directors

Gary started his career at KPMG in London in 1987, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1990 before becoming a founder member of KPMG Corporate Finance, the investment banking side of KPMG’s business. He spent the next 12 years advising both public and private clients of KPMG on all areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and corporate restructuring projects.

After various team leader roles in the business, Mr Dainton was made a partner of the firm in 2000. He was a member of the US firm’s Management Board and focused on deals in the Technology sector, before returning to London in 2002 to join the firm’s Corporate Restructuring group, which was growing rapidly on the back of the tech-crash.

In 2003 Mr Dainton left KPMG and returned to Australia with his family. After an 18 month spell working as a consultant to a Sydney based stockbroking firm, he established Odyssey, a boutique Corporate Advisory and Funds Management business, which focuses on providing corporate advisory services to middle-market companies, and on establishing investment funds with joint venture partners.

As well as his executive duties at Odyssey Capital, Gary has a number of non-executive roles and is the Australian representative non-executive director for a subsidiary of Bouygues Group, a €10billion market capitalisation listed French Group. Gary chairs the audit and remuneration committee for CL Asset Holdings Ltd. He is a responsible manager for Odyssey and its responsible entity Odyssey Funds Management Ltd.
Peter Sahui, Analyst
Peter completed a Bachelor of Business with Distinction (majoring in Accounting), Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) double degree at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2007 and has worked as an equity research analyst since then. Peter is currently a candidate for Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.
Rebecca Lee, Client Services
Rebecca is responsible for managing PIR’s subscription base, client services and general office administration. Rebecca was previously employed at Aegis Equities Research (now Morningstar) in a similar role.
